Yuan Yao

PhD candidate, Mechanical Engineering

Yuan is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering. Previously, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China .

Yuan's research interests include titanium dioxide/carbon nanotube composites with enhanced photocatalytic properties, and their applications for membrane filtration, water/air purification, CO2 reduction and H2 evolution. Yuan is also interested in the preparation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and their applications as mechanical reinforcement material or hydrogen storage material.
