Sandstone Over Limestone

The flat lying strata are differentiated by more than their dominant color. Strata within the more erosionally resistant sandstone can be seen to follow the contour lines as suggested by the three dimensional illustration of horizontally layered deposits
( Hamblin & Howard, 1975). The limestone contains sinkholes and the drainage is discontinuous.
