Till Outwash Soils
The outwash soils, separated by the low terrace, are distinguished from the tills by their
relict braids. The young clay lodgement tills are characterized by the cloud-like gray tones
and the darker, dendritic, shallow, "u"-shaped, gullies. These outwash materials are probably
silty in nature as evidenced by the realtively equal fertility of the farming on both till and
outwash. Scale of these features can be compared to the farm roads, which are one-half mile apart.
