Research

Professor FitzPatrick's research uses concepts from chemical and environmental engineering, colloid science, systems analysis, wastewater treatment, and resource recovery processes to develop cost-effective integrated environmental-management systems. He is well known for his developments of theory for filtration, flotation, sedimentation, and aggregation and for their applications to a broad range of pollution control/resource recovery systems.
